PDW Submission Process for AOM Conference in Chicago Print E-mail
Written by Cindy McDonald

Here's valuable information you need about the PDW submission process for next year's Academy of Management Conference in Chicago. Besides the changes to the scheduling of the Conference that you are probably aware of, there are also some changes to the submission process and, most importantly, the deadlines.

The submission system, http://submissions.aomonline.org/2009, opens on November 3rd.  All submissions are due on January 15, 2009 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (New York Time). This is now the same deadline as for regular conference submissions.

Before you submit your proposal, contact Mike Wright, PDW Chair, no later than by December 15, 2008, and preferably much earlier. This will also allow the PDW chair to provide some comments on whether the proposal is appropriate for the Entrepreneurship Division and suggestions on how to improve the proposal. If the proposal does not appear to be relevant for the ENT Division and you're contacting the PDW Chair prior to the submission deadline, the PDW chair will try to suggest alternative divisions that you might target with your proposal. Besides relevance to the Division, emphasis will focus on the quality of proposals as each division has a restricted time allowance.

As a reminder, there are three kinds of PDW proposals: divisional (submitted only to the ENT Division as primary sponsor), cross-divisional (submitted to ENT Division with recommendations for co-sponsor divisions), and All Academy Theme proposals. Note that each PDW proposal can be submitted to only one division, interest group, or committee.  All Academy Theme PDW proposals go to the All Academy PDW chair, Andy Hoffman( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).   All submissions are due on January 15, 2009 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (New York Time).

If you have any queries about the PDW submission process please go to the Academy website. If you any questions and suggestions regarding the PDW process for the ENT Division specifically, please email Mike Wright, PDW Chair at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
