U of L Pony Kids Club

The University of Louisville Equestrian Team holds a Pony Kid’s Club on
a semi-regular basis as both a fundraiser for the team and an
opportunity to educate younger children about the basics of horse care
and riding. As a part of the club, your child (aged 6-13) will be
participating in a variety of activities depending on age/experience.
The kids will be divided into three groups and may play games on
horseback. The groups will learn various horse skills from basic
grooming to clipping and braiding. They will get to partake in a craft
and the clinic will conclude with a “horseless horse show," a chance for
everyone to participate in a mock horse show on foot!

It will be in the spring, so rain is always a possibility. Just come
prepared! A lunch will be provided, but let us know if your child can’t
eat pizza.

Proper riding attire consists of hard-soled shoes, with a heel. Also,
close fitting pants, such as jeans, are recommended. Sneakers and shorts
are not acceptable. Helmets can be provided for anyone that needs one.

The clinic is run from 9am to 3pm, please be timely!

This is a fundraising event for the University of Louisville Riding
Team. Please explore our website to learn more about our team and recent
accomplishments!

at Stone Place Stables, 7718 Rose Island Rd., Prospect, KY 40059.
